However, hair loss may become excessive in some cases and this results in many people frantically seeking healthy hair tips. Healthy hair is the result of a good diet and active lifestyle.

An important way to ensure good health of your hair is to consume a diet that is rich in protein. This includes foods such as leafy green vegetables, soybean, carrots, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, lentils, wheat germ, buttermilk and yogurt. The important vitamins for healthy hair include the B complex vitamins, vitamin A and D. One can also consult a doctor regarding the intake of a multivitamin supplement. There are several tips for healthy hair such as oil massages and use of home remedies.

There are many home remedies which help to promote healthy hair growth. Massage coconut milk or aloe vera gel into the scalp and hair and leave for half an hour, before washing with warm water. Warm oil massages are very beneficial for the hair roots and must be done on a regular basis to ensure healthy hair growth. You may add a few drops of honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to warm olive oil and massage this into the scalp fifteen minutes before taking a bath. Coconut oil massages are also very beneficial for the hair. Juice of coriander leaves has also been known to prevent hair loss and as such may be applied on the scalp. Care must be taken while having a bath, that you do not use very hot water to wash the hair as this leads to breakage. Use shampoos that are mild and not high in chemical content. A very popular remedy that is known to be effective is to massage the hair and scalp with egg yolk and honey. You can leave this on for about half an hour and then rinse with lukewarm water. Consuming spinach, alfalfa or coriander juice is also believed to promote hair growth and prevent further hair loss. Washing the hair with a mixture of sage tea and apple cider vinegar also works well to encourage healthy growth of hair.
