Facial Hair Removal

For most women other than pimples and acnes, unwanted facial hair is a source of constant worry. Facial hair growth in women has various reasons like the onset of puberty or menopause, hormonal changes and imbalances in the body, endocrine gland disorder or maybe even due to hereditary factors. Completely getting rid of facial hair is not possible but some techniques can be applied to remove facial hair for longer periods or try and mask the presence of the hair. Some of the simpler ways of facial hair removal for women is tweezing or plucking. This process involves using a pair of tweezers to try and pluck of the hair from its roots; though it is very easy it can be initially very painful. Threading is another facial hair remover which is similar to plucking. But instead of a pair of tweezers a roll of thread is used and rolled over the hair which plucks the hair off. It could be painful and if not done properly might leave scars on your face from the thread marks. Another slightly painful method is waxing or sugaring. Waxing is a process by which wax is applied on the hair and pulled from the roots. This is an effective method which lasts for 4-6 weeks. But in the long run can make the skin of your face sag.

Bleaching is another way of camouflaging the facial hair that is present. Kits for bleaching are easily available, these bleaches have to applied and washed off in 15 minutes. Laser facial hair removal is another method which cannot be done on one’s own self. Therefore it is best to go to a well trained specialist; in this the specialist will use the laser beam to get rid of the dark pigmentation in the hair and thereby eliminating the hair itself. As the skin of the face is very sensitive great care needs to be taken while doing this. This treatment is said to be an expensive on whose effectiveness lasts for three to six months. Electrolysis is another way of facial hair removal this process uses a tiny electrode on each hair, and tries to destroy the root of the hair, resulting in effective hair removal. As an electric needle is used it can be slightly painful and cause a tingling sensation. If it is done by well trained professionals the effect can be permanent. Facial hair removal may be costly or cheap, painful or not, and this has to be decided by the woman herself.
